ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that Pa
kistan attaches immense importance to its fraternal relations with Oman and lauded Oman’s rapid progress and development.
He was talking to Oman’s Foreign Minister Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah who called on him in Islamabad on Monday.

eadership of Sultan Qaboos, Oman has been consistently making progress on all fronts. He appreciated the special importance attached to relations with Pa
kistan by Sultan Qaboos.
Nawaz Sharif said regular political dialogue between the two countries at Foreign Ministers’ level will provide the forum for a comprehensive exchange of views on all areas of political, strategic and economic interests. He said there is a considerable scope to enhance our cooperation in trade and commerce as well as in investment and other economic sectors’, underlined the Prime Minister.
Appreciating Oman’s keen interest in creating closer linkages between Pa
kistani and Omani sea ports, the Prime Minister said
that the possibility of launching government-to-government and commercial Ferry Service between Pa
kistan and Oman would open an entirely new sector to enhance connectivity, people to people contacts and Pa
kistan-Oman bilateral trade.
Mr Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah appreciated the l
eadership of the Prime Minister which has put Pa
kistan on the path of socio-economic development, economic stability and developing the country’s infras
tructure on modern lines.
Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua and Secretary to Prime Minister Fawad Hassan Fawad were also present during the meeting.
